DU 7 College Admission Circular 2020-2021

Dhaka University (DU) publishes a separate circular for affiliated 7 college admission every year. 7 college admission circulars for session 2020-2021 affiliated by DU have recently been published. Online procedure for 7 college admission has started from 10th July 2021 and interested and eligible students can apply up to 20th August 2021.

Requirement for Admission

Students who have passed SSC/Equivalence in 2015-2018 and HSC/Equivalence in 2020 only are eligible for affiliated 7 college admission.

7 college admission notice clarifies that students from the science unit have to carry at least a GPA of 7.00 in total SSC and HSC exams. Business Studies students have to obtain a total GPA of 6.50 in their SSC and HSC exams. Students of the humanities group have to obtain a total GPA of 6.00 in their SSC and HSC exams.

Science Total GPA obtained in SSC and HSC exams must be 7.00
Humanities Total GPA obtained in SSC and HSC exams must be 6.00
Business Studies Total GPA obtained in SSC and HSC exams must be 6.50

Seat distribution of 7 college admission tests affiliated by Dhaka University

There is a fixed number of seats in every respective college. Students who pass all 7 college admission tests are allowed to get admitted to their preferred college based on their preferences and the number of seats available. Among them, Eden Mohila College and Begum Badrunnesa Govt. Women College is only for women the others are for both men and women.

Admission Related Information

7 college admission test requires both MCQ, written answers. Students have to obtain a minimum of 40 out of 120 without any subject-wise pass. Also, it has no negative marking.

From February 2017, these seven colleges are managed by Dhaka University for their honors and master’s program. They follow the same academic calendar and share the same certificate as DU.
